October 1995 - March 2009
I received Bolle' when he was 8 months old. Even at that age, he was strong-willed and opinionated. He was a
serious dog who loved to be active and have a job. The head dog in our house, he tolerated no nonsense from the
youngsters, yet he played with them and was a great teacher for the little ones. Like Vuarnet, he never needed to be
aggressive; other dogs just knew he was the boss. Bolle' fit the standard description of temperament to a "t". He
never cared for people outside of his circle, but he tolerated them. He was an amazing obedience dog, throwing
himself into his work and working with speed and style. My first OTCH, the journey he took me on was one of
discovery and enlightenment, I am a better trainer and person because of it.
He was a big male, with tremendous bone and striking coloring. He has passed on his desire to work, beautiful
neck, ear set, color and presence to many of his offspring. In 2003 he was one of the Eukanuba stud dogs of the
year because of the many accomplishments of his offspring. Since that time his offspring have won BOB at the
Invitational, and the National Specialty, multiple High in Trials, OTCHs, MACHSs, as well as many, many titles in all
venues. All of this with very limited breeding. Not having him around has left emptiness in the house.
